Adoption Art Fundraisers ***Scroll down to see all the lovely faces!***
Congratulations on your upcoming adoption! Adoption is costly. I believe that God gave me this artistic talent to be used for His glory in helping orphans get home to their forever families. I would love to help you with your fundraising! ALL fundraising families must carefully read through and commit to these guidelines if you are interested in doing an art fundraiser with me.
How it works
What will I do? 1. After your completed home study, I will do an initial phone interview to get to know you and your family. I will let you know if you have been accepted afterwards via email. 2. After acceptance, we will have a FaceTime chat so you can choose your five pieces of art for your fundraiser 3. I will make a fundraising video for you to share on social media 4. As needed, I will make collage photos for you to share on social media. 5. Pack, and ship the original art to the person whose name is drawn.

What will you do? 1. After acceptance, text me a photo of your child and a photo of your family along with a 2-3 sentence bio. 2. Set your fundraiser timeframe (2 weeks works well) along with a possible monetary goal. 3. Enlist the help of your friends and family on social media to share and support (think of an extroverted "cheerleader" type friend!) 4. Email, Facebook, Instagram, Tweet, Pin, and share on all of your social media sites every 2-3 days with your video and collage photos. Change it up! New photos, new wording, and don't forget your link! 5. Provide fundraising updates to help people know how it's going. 6. At the end of your fundraiser, make a "pick the name out of the hat" fun video to choose the winner 7. Provide me with the winner's name, contact info, and mailing address 8. Be encouraging and thankful to the people who are donating their hard earned money to your adoption (I would also encourage you to write thank you cards). 9. A small $10-$15 shipping fee for the art that is donated. (depending on the size)
You will need: 1. A completed homestudy 2. An approved easy-to-use fundraising site such as GoFundMe, Adopt a Love Story, etc.
How it works: 1. For every $10 someone donates, their name is entered to win their choice of one piece of original art 2. $50 is 5 entries, $100 is 10 entries, etc. 3. NO gambling terminology. Please no raffle terms. It's a donation for a name in the drawing.
What these fundraisers make: These art fundraisers make anywhere from $500-$8,000, depending on your time commitment and social media savvy.
Tips that work: 1. Let people know my website so they can see the quality of my work. People need to know that this art has value. My art has sold for thousands of dollars, all across the United States and internationally. 2. Original art from an award winning gallery artist is not affordable to most people. A $40 entry is 4 names in the drawing! This is a chance to win something completely unique, hand made, and beautiful. 3. Being cheerful and upbeat even if it takes people a few days to start donating. On social media, people sometimes need several reminders before they get on board to donate. 4. Counting down the last 3-5 days to increase the excitement. 5. Making a big deal of the name drawing event. (get your kids involved, make a video, and get creative!) 6. Asking people which piece of art is their favorite to possibly choose. 7. Please do not overlap fundraisers during your allotted time.
Your total cost & time commitment: I know how busy adopting families are! You will probably spend a total of 2-3 hours on this fundraiser. This includes chatting with me, posting to social media, garnering help from friends and family, and making your end video. I try to make it as easy as possible on you!
Please read carefully ***IMPORTANT NOTES*** 1. Fundraising money is to be used only for the purpose it was raised for. After your adoption trip, if you have leftover money, it's yours to use freely, wisely, and at your discretion for your continuing expenses with your family. If I find out that there has been fraudulent activity with fundraising, I will end your fundraiser. No exceptions. 2. Friends and family members may not set up fundraisers to have loans paid back to themselves. If you are contacting me for a fund-raiser and the adoptive family owes you money, this fundraiser's money does not go to you. Please understand that this is a conflict of interest and I cannot be a part of it. 3. If a family cannot follow through with their fundraising commitment, I reserve the right to end it at any time. If there is an unresolved conflict, I reserve the right to end the fundraiser. 4. I accept and work with families at my sole discretion. 5. Please keep the lines of communication open at all times. You can text me anytime at 919-889-8293. 6. Due to the tight scheduling of fundraisers back to back, I cannot change or alter your time slot. I also cannot have families "trade" time slots. 7. If you have missed the deadline for turning in your information and setup, your fundraiser will need to be cancelled or rescheduled. All of your information, including your photos, links, bio and choosing your art must be turned in at least 48 hours before your fundraiser. I need this time to make your video and graphics. 8. The fundraising family is responsible for keeping track of their own timelines and making sure all of their information is ready to go in a timely manner. If a family is very late in getting their information to me, I may not have time to get the fundraiser up and running. The earlier the better.
Please keep in mind that these are original pieces of handmade art. These are not prints or photos. Original art is one-of-a-kind, takes dozens of hours to create and can cost thousands of dollars to purchase (just walk into any art gallery!) The art I currently have on hand took many years to create. The time, talent, and money that I am investing into these fundraisers is precious and I would ask that you commit to following through with what has been laid out on this page so that your fundraiser can bring in the maximum amount of money for your adoption.
