This lovely gold relief reminded me of a fleur-de-lis, which is a common heraldic charge in the shape of a lily. In French, fleur and lis mean "flower" and "lily" respectively.
This was a relief piece that I created with a thick, golden paint and a stencil to create a lovely raised pattern on the wood. This piece is particularly shimmery in the sunshine. If you have a sunlit space to hang it, it'll refract light into your day.
