Collection: cottage charm adornments

My new line of cottage charm ornaments started last Christmas. I was walking through a store and saw a package of raw, wood-cut ornaments that were just aching for some creativity. I bought a package and sold so many that I went back to the store after Christmas and basically bought every single last package I could find.

Then, it got me to thinking. Why should ornaments be just for Christmas? I started experimenting with ink, gold relief, acrylics, doilies, stamps, and cutting out hundreds of tiny flowers for collage.

What emerged were these impossibly unique pieces of art, each one-of-a-kind, each taking multiple hours to create as I sifted through hundred of pieces of decorative paper, layering upon layers with paint, sketching, and sealing it all together with a protective coat. Some pieces I messed up and painted a solid color so I could start over, so if you get a piece with a gorgeous gold back, there's probably failed art underneath that layer of paint. :)

What a lovely way to lose yourself in something creative. As I started hanging them about my house in various ways, I realized that large, traditional art has its place, but those tiny corners, accents, the delicate trinkets that make people lean in and look, THOSE are the subtle personalities that make your home unique.

Each cottage ornament comes with my signature, the date it was created and the name of the piece on the back, or maybe a thought, verse, or a quote that particularly spoke to me during that piece.

Each adornment is around 2-3 inches in circumference and has a hanging ribbon. Cottage charm adornments can be hung on plants, the sides of pictures, the wall, draped over the handle of a pitcher, hanging in a window, or just neatly filling a tiny gap in between larger pieces of art.

I hope you enjoy every single hand-crafted piece since so much enjoyment was placed onto each one.

I hope you find something lovely for your home and thank you!
